On 18 October 2011 Mr. President Tadeusz Rybak together with the Chief Welding Engineer Włodzimierz Wojtowicz participated in the Conference “Problems of boilers for supercritical parameters” which was held in the Dom Strzelecki Rafako at ul Łąkowa in Racibórz. The Conference was attended by those, who wanted to become familiar with the arcana of supercritical boilers. Authorities in this field came to Racibórz from Germany, USA and Poland. Among others T24 steel was discussed, being the reason for problems in the West.

On 11-12 October 2011 the President of the Management Board, Mr. Tadeusz Rybak together with the Welding Department Director, Mr. Paweł Iwaszko participated in the 9th Conference titled “Konstrukcje Stalowe Trwałe i Piękne” [Durable and Beautiful Steel Structures] which was organised by the Polish Chamber of Steelworks. The annual Conference was held at the Conference Centre of Holiday Inn in Warsaw – Józefów. The meeting was organised for everybody who is interested in modern structures that meet requirements of effectiveness, economics and aesthetics. The aim of the Conference was to present the steel market – its development and plans for the forthcoming years.

Zakłady Azotowe Puławy S.A. has placed an order with Mostostal Puławy S.A. for construction of a wet ammonia flue gas desulphurisation system.
The scope of work of our Company includes:
- Delivery and erection of the supporting structure;
- Delivery and erection of the lift shaft, staircase and reserve steel duct in a 160 m high reinforced concrete stack (as a sub-contractor of Savex company);
- Delivery, erection and insulation of the flue gas ducts;
- Construction of the ammonium sulphate crystallization and processing building, including a warehouse and a social building (installation of the process equipment and building external walls);
- Delivery and installation of piping.

Finish of the cycling season in Poland takes place in Sokółka. On 2 October (Sunday) the 7th International Criterium, Memorial of Józef Gościło, under the auspices of the Mayor of Sokółka was organised. This was a street race on a small round where the cyclists had to go over 35 kilometres. The race competed in rounds in Sokółka was very fast from the very beginning.

On 1 October 2011 a bicycle race was started for all the categories: młodzik, junior młodszy, junior, elita, women. The cyclists of the Elita category had to go 128 km. (4 laps of 32 kilometres each). After many attempts of attacks a group of three leaders consisting of Piotr Kirpsza from Mostostal Puławy, Paweł Cieślik from Bank BGŻ Team and Robert Radosz from BDC Team was formed.
