Finish of the cycling season in Poland takes place in Sokółka. On 2 October (Sunday) the 7th International Criterium, Memorial of Józef Gościło, under the auspices of the Mayor of Sokółka was organised. This was a street race on a small round where the cyclists had to go over 35 kilometres. The race competed in rounds in Sokółka was very fast from the very beginning.
7 laps before the finish Marcin Urbanowski from Bank BGŻ Team at first departed the group alone, and then he was joined by Krzysztof Syrojć from WMKS Olsztyn and Jakub Foltyn from Mostostal Puławy. The three managed to maintain a slight advantage over the peloton, and the fastest cyclist at the finish line was Urbanowski, while Jakub Foltyn from Mostostal Puławy took the third place.
