The Board and representatives of our company took part in the International Economy-Investment Forum which took place in Lublin on 4th October 2012. Days of Eastern Partnership provide an excellent opportunity to talk about the future of economic cooperation between companies located in the Lubelskie Voivodeship with their eastern partners. Forum participants talked, i.e. about the Lubelskie Voivodeship as a dynamically changing region and about the chance, namely, cooperation of Polish companies with businesses from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The Forum has been prepared and organised by the Office of the Marshal of Lubelskie Voivodeship.

On the 6th and 7th September 2012, loading trials of bridge sites have been performed at the construction site of the eastern ring road of the city of Przemyśl, connecting national road No 77 with national road No 28. Conducted trials confirmed that actual bending of the bridges is equal to calculated values.

Railway bridges manufactured by Mostostal Puławy are a part of a large investment executed by a consortium formed by the following companies: Pihl & Son A.S. i Züblin (Joint – Venture Pihl – Züblin). The goal of the consortium is design and construction of a road connection with a tunnel. The construction of Nordhavnsvej Street is supposed to provide a connection between the Elsinore motorway and the Strandvænget way in “Østerbro” – located in the vicinity of Copenhagen. The entire length of this road connection shall be 1650 meters, 620 out of which shall be passing through an underground tunnel.

Within September 3-4 , the President of Mostostal Puławy, Mr Tadeusz Rybak, participated in 5th Investment Forum held in Tarnów. The topic of this Forum focused on economic activity of the country in the economic crisis. The 5th Forum gathered the representatives of the Polish government, investors, issuers, experts and theorists, representatives of science environments from several European countries. This Forum is the biggest investors’ meeting in Central Europe.

Mostostal Puławy S.A. has manufactured a cross as a gift, which is 14.5-meters tall, with the arm width of 5.5 meters, weighing 2.5 tonnes and made of acid-resistant steel. On Monday, 27th August, it has been installed on the church tower of the Blessed John Paul II’s Church, located at Fulmana Street in Lublin. The cross has been installed using screws and welded to the supporting structure. It has been lifted to the top of the tower using a crane.
