As commissioned by a Finnish company METSO, Mostostal Pulawy S.A. is due to supply a boiler in Kalmar, southern Sweden. It will be yet another, the third Hybex® type boiler installed by Mostostal to the order of this company. The boiler is made in the BFB (Bubbling Fluidized-Bed) technology which offers excellent combustion parameters for burning wood waste, generated for instance by paper mills. It is precisely this green type of fuel (wood shaves, sawdust, etc.) that will be fired in the boiler, while the generated electricity and heat will supply the city of Kalmar and the environs, to replace the old ecologically unfriendly process. The scope of works contracted to Mostostal Pulawy covers the assembly of the boiler's pressure components, within the period from November 5th, 2008 to July 30th, 2009.
