In September this year, Mostostal Puławy signed a contract with PKN ORLEN for a turnkey pilot installation for testing hydrogenation catalysts, i.e. substances accelerating chemical reactions using hydrogen for the needs of the PTA production plant in Włocławek.
The new pilot plant is to be coupled with a terephthalic acid (PTA) production plant and enable industrial-scale testing, as well as ensure cost and time optimization for the selection of the best process variants. The research installation will have a capacity of about 1300 kg / h. Design work is underway. The completion deadline is October 2020.
