On Sunday, 1 April 2012 the race called “Ślężański Monk”, being traditionally the start of the cycling season in Poland, was held in Sobótka. This was already the 21st time when the cyclists raced over the route around Sobótka. 156 riders arrived at the start of the 120 km long race, all the major cyclists in the elite appeared here. Apart from Polish teams also teams from the Czech Republic, Germany, Belarus and Lithuania participated in the race. Cyclists of KS Pogoń Mostostal Puławy took the following places:
10th Czerkies Michał, 21st Haba Grzegorz, 30th Owsian Arkadiusz, 33rd Kister Paweł, 61st Kirpsza Jacek, 72nd Wręga Wojciech, 79th Detko Artur.
