Four cups of Tour de Pologne, the prizes for winning the stage 4 in Lublin were auctioned on the website of Kurier Lubelski in the week of September 24th - October 1st. Due to riders protest on the finishing laps in Lublin, stage results were annulled and the cups were not given to the winners. These trophies have been auctioned by its founders : Major of Lublin, Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship, Voivode and Vice Voivode of Lublin. Stiff struggle for the cups lasted to the end, 25 transactors took part in the auction.
Fortunately our company managed to auction the cup for the winner of stage IV in Lublin.
This trophy makes us really satisfied because of two reasons. As the main sponsor of Pogoń Mostostal Pulawy cycle team we are very pleased that our company became the owner of the TdP cup, the prize in the most prestigious and the biggest Polish road bicycle race. It is beyond doubt that the cup of TdP is a great treasure for every bicycle racing fun.
Simultaneously, we believe that this auctioned cup will be a motivation for the riders of our team to intensive trainings and encourage them to improve their skills in order to represent our country during the TdP in the future.
On the other side, we are very happy with the fact that we were able to give a financial aid to Little Prince Hospice and Good Samaritan Hospice, both located in Lublin. All founds accumulated during the auction will be donated to these hospices.
The four cups will be presented to its new owners during the ceremony on 12 October in seats of institutions.
