Mostostal Pulawy, our Company, has been recognized yet again for its Corporate Social Responsibility policy. This time, we were counted among the elite society of sports sponsors in the Lublin region. On January 4th, 2008 we took part in the celebrations organized for the first time by the media tandem of Lubelski Sport Express Magazine and Kurier Daily. According to the common opinions of participants and observers, the reputation of the event, supported by the regional TV and radio sections, has never been better.
We are proud and satisfied that our presence in the Lublin sports society has been recognized - said the Company's President Tadeusz Rybak. In fact, we have always been there. The Pogon Mostostal Pulawy Cycling Team is a pearl in our necklace but we also support a number of other sports undertakings, such as a handball team. We understand that without substantial financial support sport teams from Poland will always fall behind foreign clubs. Therefore, it is really our pleasure and honour to receive this award. We accept it as recognition of our contribution to the development of sports initiatives and a stimulus to a further activity in this area. We will be shortly completing the construction project of the first Polish indoor velodrome in Pruszkow. In the coming months we will begin the construction of a sports hall in Lodz. Both the cycle track and the hall will be ones of the most advanced and architecturally sophisticated buildings of their kind in Europe.
In the period 2008-2012 we hope to take part in other major contracts, as we believe that the Euro 2012 Cup will find our region in an excellent sporting condition and proud of its substantial infrastructure for sports training. We are sure that the example of our Company will be followed by other firms and this calendar year will witness a much higher support to sports in the Lublin region than it was in the past.
The idea of the Games should be implied in the organizational culture, as it drives business along the lines of fair play and effort to achieve the top performance. Mostostal Pulawy is a declared supporter of sports initiatives and hopes to contribute to their development in the future.
